Battle Belongs was originally written for the 2024 USA Eastern Territory Commissioning event as acombined work for the New York Staff Band, Eastern Territory Staff Songsters, and Unbound. Thisarrangement is a stand-alone brass piece, weaving together Phil Wickham’s “Battle Belongs” with thechorus of the classic Hillsong Worship song, “The Power of Your Love”. The prominent use of substitutionchords brings added intensity to the Hillsong chorus, offering a fresh perspective on the well-known melody
and creating moments of powerful, expressive worship.
