Trombone Solo-Take Up Thy Cross (William Broughton)
$29.95
/
Score and Full Band Set for Take Up Thy Cross (Trombone Solo) by William Broughton. Part of The New York Staff Band's Heritage Series

This is a well-known song of which the words, especially the last refrain – How can I make a lesser sacrifice when Jesus gave His all? – means to the arranger that in all that we do, we must give our all – in our Christian walk – in our personal walk – in our professional walk with Him. The solo is an expression of this belief, and as such the composer feels that a prayerful approach by the soloist will be the key to the most effective performance.
Previously published in the American Band Journal 28 as #127.
