Also Available in PDF
Length – 10:48
Martin Cordner wrote this piece for the 2015 New York Staff Band tour. It’s in two parts based on words from the United States National Anthem. Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. There are well known American songs and some singing of native American language which relate to the word “peace”.
There is reference to the music of American composers like Aaron Copeland and John Williams as well as driving rock rhythms. The hymns that are heard clearly are “How Firm a Foundation” and “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”.
