Duke Street Intrada is a lively opener for brass band, based on a 1970’s arrangement by Ralph Carmichael for brass choir. Carmichael is an American composer/arranger who also wrote orchestral, choral and jazz works throughout his career. He was one of the pioneers of taking well known hymns and creating crossover arrangements in big band style. The song text which forms the basis of this arrangement is Jesus Shall Reign.
